About youth policy
If you ever encountered the term “youth policy” and began to wonder, how can it possibly concern you – then, we are eager to explain: “youth policy” means all actions taken for young people welfare; all actions which take into consideration their needs and treat them as equal to other social groups. It concerns all actions conducted in individual countries as well as throughout whole Europe. Youth policy implies partnership, dialogue, involving young people into decision making and functions on the „nothing about us without us” terms. Some of the visible results of the policy existence are, for an instance: establishment of youth city councils, European Youth Week, actions taken during the process of structured dialogue. The latter serves to conduct consultations on chosen topics concerning youth. Everyone of you can become involved in the process and offer consultations in your local community.
